Toyota's 2.0T high-performance engine revealed, possibly features in the MR2 GRMN

Recently, Toyota officially stated that it is developing a new high-performance 2.0T engine. It is rumoured that the mass-production high-power version of this engine will have a maximum power of 400 horsepower and a peak torque of 550N·m, and the maximum power of the low-power version is expected to be around 300 horsepower. In addition, a racing version of this engine will be launched, with the maximum power possibly exceeding 600 horsepower.
According to previous information, Toyota is considering reviving the MR2 sports car and launching two versions, purely electric and internal combustion engine. The high-performance GRMN model will be equipped with a 2.0-litre engine and GR-Four four-wheel drive system, and it may be equipped with this high-performance road version of the 2.0T engine.
In May of this year, Toyota has confirmed that it is working with Subaru and Mazda to develop new 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre engines. The official stated that the new 2.0T engine will exceed the current 2.4T engine in terms of power, and at the same time, it has a smaller volume, higher fuel efficiency and will meet strict emission regulations in markets around the world.
