Electric Cars: Toyota bZ3C and bZ3X Debut in Beijing, with Southeast Asia Just Around the Corner!

With the development of electric vehicles in China, many new Chinese brands have come to Southeast Asia, including BYD, NETA, GWM, etc. Users who still lack confidence in Chinese electric vehicle brands can look forward to the Japanese brands that still occupy a large share of the Southeast Asian market.

Toyota released two electric vehicles, bZ3C and bZ3X, at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show.

In early April 2023, Toyota launched the EV prototypes of the bZ Sport Crossover Concept and bZ FlexSpace concept cars at the Shanghai Auto Show. The mass-production versions of these two prototypes made their debut at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, named Toyota bZ3C and Toyota bZ3X, the manufacturer plans to start selling in China in 2025.

Both models are equipped with the latest driver assistance systems and intelligent cabins to provide a safe and comfortable driving experience and new experiential value. Toyota has not yet revealed any details about the powertrain, but it is expected to use the blade battery from BYD subsidiary FinDreams.

Toyota bZ3C is a collaboration between BYD, FAW China, and Toyota to develop a smart electric vehicle company and is the mass-production version of the bZ sport crossover concept. And Toyota bZ3X is the mass-production version of the bZ FlexSpace concept car, the technical specifications have not yet been released.

In terms of appearance, bZ3C uses the Reboot keyword as the design concept. The front face continues to use the "C" shaped headlight design to show a strong aggressiveness. The design of the front cover is identical to the new Prius, and the sharp styling in the fog light area enhances the sense of movement.

The side of the bZ3C has a coupe-like design, and the lines at the tail are very smooth, which exudes a youthful vibe. Moreover, the new car is also equipped with aero wheel rims, hidden door handles, and lidar, among other things.

The car tail has a rich level of lines. For example, the slim tail light and the segmented rear spoiler teamed together makes the tail look very sci-fi. In addition, the multi-layer folding design of the rear enclosure is quite aesthetic.

For the interior, the car on display at the show was decorated in red. A straight center console is equipped with a floating control screen, below which is a wireless charging storage box for mobile phones, and certain physical buttons have been retained at the rear. The steering wheel features a double-spoke design, with a narrow screen instrument panel in front of it.

The new car is expected to be introduced to China by FAW Toyota and will officially go on sale in China within a year, so Southeast Asian users stay tuned!
