【PCauto】Geely has announced a full-year sales target of 3.45 million units for 2026, representing a 14% increase over its 2025 performance. Compared to the 3.0246 million units sold in 2025, this projected growth of about 14% does not appear overly ambitious, especially considering that Geely achieved a high growth rate of 39% in 2025.
Within these figures, Geely's electric vehicle sales reached 1.6878 million units, marking a year-on-year increase of 90%. This accounted for 55.8% of its total sales volume. For 2026, Geely aims to further raise the share of electric vehicle sales to 64.3%. This means that electric vehicle sales need to reach 2.22 million units.

To support this, Geely plans to launch more than 15 new electric vehicle models in 2026, covering the sedan, SUV, and MPV segments.
The Geely Galaxy lineup, including the A8 and A9 series alongside the V900 MPV and rugged SUV models, will span the full market spectrum from family sedans to mid- and high-end MPVs and SUVs.
Taking the Galaxy V900 as an example, it is a mid-to-large-size MPV measuring 5360mm in length, 1998mm in width, and 1940mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3200mm.

The vehicle features a 15.4-inch central control screen, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster display, and a 19.8-inch augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD). It features the Flyme Auto 2 smart cockpit system and is powered by the Snapdragon 8295P chip.
The interior seating offers 6/7/8-seat layouts, with the second row equipped with a 17.3-inch entertainment screen and a 5.98-inch functional control screen. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with 4 smart 50W air-cooled wireless fast chargers throughout.

The V900 will be equipped with an extended-range electric powertrain comprising a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine and dual electric motors, delivering a maximum power output of 340 kW and a peak torque of 523 Nm. It will be offered with either a 43.3 kWh or a 50 kWh battery pack, providing CLTC-rated pure-electric ranges of 220 km and 260 km, respectively.
With a full tank and full charge, the total driving range is 1,180 km or 1,220 km, depending on the battery option. The vehicle will also feature CCD electromagnetic dampers, air suspension, and an active “Magic Carpet” suspension system. The air suspension offers an extensive adjustment range of 65 mm and provides five height levels, including a welcome mode.

Represented by models such as the 8X sports SUV, the 009 PHEV, and the revamped 007/007GT, Zeekr employs a hybrid powertrain architecture capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds, alongside a 900-volt platform, positioning it to compete with other prominent Chinese EV brands such as Li Auto and AITO.
The official exterior images of the Zeekr 8X have been released, and it is planned to be launched in the first half of this year. It will continue to utilise the SEA-S architecture, positioning it as a mid- to large-size SUV.
Notably, Zeekr officially defines the 8X as a super hybrid high-performance flagship SUV with a focus on sportiness. In addition to the five-seat version, a six-seat version will also be available.

The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P Travel Edition and the 800 off-road SUV mark the brand's first foray into the off-road segment, with enhanced off-road capabilities derived from the SPA Evo hybrid architecture.
Currently, the most anticipated model in the Chinese market is the Lynk & Co 800, positioned between the 09 and 900, with a design resembling a smaller version of the Lynk & Co 900. Leveraging Lynk & Co's premium brand positioning, mature hybrid technology, and excellent chassis tuning, the goal is to capture the mid-to-high-end family SUV segment.

With 15 new models planned, Geely aims to distribute their launches evenly across the months of 2026, although key models are concentrated in the first half.
This means the Zeekr 8X is expected to launch by the end of March, the Galaxy V900 is scheduled for release on 20 January, and more models will debut at the Beijing Auto Show.

Overseas markets represent another key growth driver for Geely in 2026. In 2025, Geely's overseas sales amounted to 420,000 units. The target for 2026 is to surpass 600,000 units, implying a growth rate exceeding 50%.
By leveraging local production in Brazil, Egypt, and Indonesia, Geely not only reduces logistics costs but also better caters to local market needs.
Meanwhile, through global expansion and channel development, Geely is reducing its reliance on a single market, providing a more stable foundation for sales growth.
As a leading Chinese automotive brand, Geely's pace of global expansion has become more strategic. Although the 14% growth rate is still high compared to the industry expectation of 3%-5%, it reflects a broader shift among Chinese automakers from prioritising sheer sales volume to focusing on profitability.

Perodua Traz VS Ativa, which one is more worth buying?
Traz, as a newly launched mid-sized SUV, offers more spacious room and mainstream power compared to small SUVs, but its pricing appears slightly higher than that of Ativa. Ativa, on the other hand, is Perodua's long-time best-selling small SUV with more affordable pricing and a balanced combination of power and tech features.

Perodua Myvi and Bezza may undergo major upgrades in 2026
After the update, the Bezza will no longer be just a low-cost alternative but a core model in the Perodua system with greater market competitiveness and brand premium potential. The upgrade of the Myvi is not to be unconventional but to strengthen the brand and market, ensuring that the Myvi continues to maintain its irreplaceable position in the new round of product competition.

Perodua Traz VS Toyota Yaris Cross, where does the Traz fall short?
Before the official launch of the Perodua Traz, market expectations were actually very high because it shares the same DNGA platform as the Toyota Yaris Cross. However, sharing the same platform does not equate to the same experience, and the Traz's final performance has indeed been disappointing. Perhaps it is precisely because of the delayed launch that it has almost no competitiveness in the current competitive environment.

Will the Toyota Yaris Cross come to Malaysia? If it comes, how much will it sell for?
The launch of Perodua Traz indicates that the market size of small SUVs in Malaysia has been expanding in recent years. However, the question naturally shifts back to Toyota. As a brand with the most comprehensive product line and a strong foundation in both the SUV and hybrid sectors, will Toyota choose the Yaris Cross to participate in this small SUV competition?

Why is the Toyota Sienna so popular with so many people?
In Malaysia, most family MPVs choose Toyota Alphard, Vellfire, or Kia Carnival. These models each have their advantages in luxury, space, or brand influence, but models that truly balance large space, multifunctional practicality, fuel efficiency, and reliability are rarely seen.
