[PCauto] According to the confirmation from Naza Eastern Motors during the recent launch event of the Suzuki Swift Sport Final Edition, the Suzuki Fronx will officially enter the Malaysian market in the fourth quarter of 2025.
This compact SUV, built on the HEARTECT platform, is expected to bring new competition to Malaysia's B-segment SUV market with its unique crossover design and advanced features.
The model is sold in the Indian market under the name Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor and is a result of deep collaboration between Suzuki and Toyota as part of their global strategy.

Suzuki Fronx positioned in the B-segment market to compete with the Perodua Ativa
From a product positioning standpoint, the Suzuki Fronx’s dimensions are precisely targeted at the competitive B-segment market.
Its body measures 3,995mm in length, 1,765mm in width, and 1,550mm in height, paired with a 2,520mm wheelbase, ensuring urban driving agility while offering relatively spacious interior space.
Compared to its main competitor, the Perodua Ativa, the Fronx is 55mm wider but 70mm shorter in length.

Fronx Exterior Adopts Suzuki's Latest Design Language
In terms of exterior design, the Suzuki Fronx features a highly recognizable split headlamp design at the front, with slim LED daytime running lights at the top connected to the wide intake grille, forming a through-type visual effect.

The main headlamp group below is embedded on both sides of the sporty bumper, coupled with a trapezoidal lower air intake and silver skid plates, creating a strong crossover vibe.
The rear of the car adopts the popular through-type LED taillight design, along with vertical reflectors on the rear bumper and a roof spoiler, forming a well-layered rear appearance.

Thoughtful Interior Design of the Suzuki Fronx
In terms of interior design and features, the Suzuki Fronx demonstrates significant sincerity. The interior color scheme combines burgundy and black, complemented by rose gold and silver decorative strips, creating a young and stylish cabin atmosphere.

The 9-inch floating central control screen supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smart connectivity, with higher trim levels offering a heads-up display and wireless charging pad, among other tech features.
The automatic climate control system and rear air vents ensure comfort for all passengers, making these features highly competitive among models in the same class.

The Powertrain Options Are Another Highlight of the Suzuki Fronx
Based on configuration references provided by the Indonesian market, the Malaysian market is expected to offer two powertrain options:
The 1.5L naturally aspirated engine version delivers a maximum power output of 105 horsepower and a peak torque of 138 Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission;
The 1.5L mild hybrid system, with the assistance of a 12V lithium-ion battery and an integrated starter generator (ISG), achieves 101 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque output, offering a choice between a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
This intelligent hybrid system not only improves fuel efficiency but also provides additional torque assistance during initial acceleration.

About the Safety Features of the Suzuki Fronx
In terms of safety features, the Suzuki Fronx comes standard with 6 airbags across all trims, while higher trims are equipped with a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). This system includes:
Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), among other functions.
In addition, the Fronx's 360-degree panoramic camera system and auto high beam assist further enhance driving safety and convenience.

Suzuki Fronx Expected to Be Priced Above 100,000 MYR
According to the Indonesian market price, the local CKD version is priced between IDR 259 million and IDR 321.9 million (approximately 67,000 to 84,000 MYR). Considering that the Malaysian market will be introduced in CBU form and the higher-end versions come equipped with a complete ADAS system, the expected price may exceed 100,000 MYR.
This pricing strategy positions it directly against strong competitors such as the Perodua Ativa and Honda WR-V. When configurations are comparable, price competitiveness will be a key factor for market performance.

It is worth noting that Suzuki Malaysia has also confirmed the introduction of the eVitara pure electric SUV in 2026.
This model shares the platform with the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, featuring dimensions of 4,275mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and a wheelbase of 2,700mm.

The powertrain is expected to offer three configurations:
The single-motor front-wheel-drive version is equipped with a 49kWh battery pack, delivering 144hp;
The high-end single-motor version is equipped with a 61kWh battery pack, delivering 174hp;
The dual-motor all-wheel-drive version provides a combined output of 184hp and 300N·m torque, with a maximum range of up to 500 kilometers.

Currently, Suzuki relies only on two niche models, the Swift Sport and Jimny, to maintain its presence in the Malaysian market. With the introduction of the Fronx and eVitara, Suzuki's product lineup in Malaysia will become more complete, covering multiple segments ranging from traditional fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles.
Suzuki Fronx Becomes the Fastest SUV in India’s History to Reach 100,000 Exports
Since its launch in India in 2023, the Suzuki Fronx has achieved the milestone of 100,000 units exported within 25 months, becoming the fastest SUV in India's history to reach this goal.
In the 2024-2025 fiscal year, this model further claimed the top spot in Indian passenger car exports with over 69,000 units exported, reaching markets in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and Japan. This successful experience serves as a favorable reference for its potential performance in the Malaysian market.

As the launch date in the fourth quarter of 2025 approaches, Malaysian consumers' anticipation for the Suzuki Fronx continues to rise. This compact SUV, which combines dynamic design, advanced technology, and practical space, will be a key focus of industry observation in the highly competitive Malaysian market. At the same time, its synergy with the subsequent electric model eVitara will bring new opportunities for the development of the Suzuki brand in Malaysia.
