The second generation of Aion V has been revealed, when can it enter the Southeast Asian market?

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China announced the information of the second generation AION V from GAC Aion, which had previously debuted at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. The new vehicle is positioned as a new hard-core smart-driving SUV that adopts a new "ecological function" design language, and has upgraded in terms of intelligence and three-electric system. It is equipped with the ADIGO 5.0 man-machine interaction system, advanced intelligent auxiliary driving system (Orin-X chip + LIDAR) and AI large model ADiGO SENSE, etc. Furthermore, the CLTC cruising range has reached 750km, with 370km charged in 15 minutes.

In terms of appearance, the second generation AION V adopts a new "ecological function" design language. It was jointly designed by global design teams from Los Angeles, Milan, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. The design inspiration comes from the classic vitality totem - Tyrannosaurus Rex which embodies the classic and pure hard-core genes to the extreme.

Looking at the overall shape of the vehicle, the second generation AION V features hard lines with a rectangular characteristic, decorated with cyber dragon claw elements in the overall design, and also uses the AION letter mark at the rear.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the second generation AION V are 4605/1854 (1876)/1660 (1686) mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2775mm, and a five-seat layout. In addition, the approach/departure angle of the new vehicle is 19 degrees and 27 degrees.

In terms of power, according to the declaration information, the second-generation AION V is equipped with a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a maximum power of 150 kilowatts and a top speed of 160km. In terms of endurance, it is known that the car will be built based on the 400VSiC platform, the CLTC pure electric endurance is 750km, and it can achieve a charge of 370 kilometers in 15 minutes.

In addition, the second-generation AION V is equipped with the self-developed second-generation ITS2.0 intelligent temperature control system (the highest integration in the world), which is used the industry's first twelve-valve multi-mode high-efficiency thermal management integrated module, standard heat pump. And the low temperature energy consumption is 50% lower than the previous generation of models, adapting to the widest temperature range in the industry (-30~ 55°C).

Combined with previous news, the second-generation AION V will also be equipped with the ADIGO 5.0 intelligent driving interconnected ecosystem that integrates the AI large model ADiGO SENS. It is carefully trained based on the data of millions of Ean car owners, can accurately identify and meet the personalized needs of users. It also has self-learning interaction logic, with unlimited understanding ability. At the same time, it is also equipped with 4-zone voice interaction, which can recognize multiple languages, with super-realistic speech output.

At the same time, it will also be equipped with a high-level intelligent driving system, adopting the intelligent driving solution of “BEV (pure electric vehicle)+OCC (occupy network technology)+Transformer (neural network model based on self-attention mechanism)”. It is equipped with Nvidia's Orin-X chip, a high-thread laser radar, 5 millimeter-wave radars and 11 cameras constitute intelligent driving hardware, which can realize leading assisted driving ability in high-speed sections and city sections.

In terms of configuration, the second-generation AION V is equipped with a main and co-driver 8-point SPA massage+rear imperial lounge chair, which can be adjusted to 137 degrees, allowing rear passengers to find a comfortable sitting posture that most suits their spine angle. The nine Belgian Premium speakers and an 8-inch bass speaker tuned by a master for a better audio-visual enjoyment. So here comes the question, Aion V has already launched its second generation in the Chinese market, when will it enter the Southeast Asian market? At present, the Aion Y Plus is gradually gaining recognition in the Thai market, and the Aion brand will continue to penetrate Thailand as well as the entire Southeast Asian market. Although there is certain overlap in positioning and pricing between Aion V and Aion Y Plus, introducing Aion V to the market, expanding Aion's product lineup, and enhancing Aion's brand recognition, is believed to be necessary.
