Achieving global recognition, BYD Auto became the top-selling battery electric vehicle manufacturer in Q4 2023, surpassing Tesla, and claimed the title of the best-selling car brand in China since Q1 2023, surpassing Volkswagen. The company's success is attributed to vertical integration within the BYD group, producing components in-house, and specializing in lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries marketed as the Blade battery.
