2025 Deepal SL03 Extended-Range Electric Vehicle Launched, May Come to Malaysia in CKD Form in the Future!

On September 27th, the 2025 Deepal SL03 officially launched, introducing 3 range extender versions and 1 pure electric version, with its official guidance price being 119.9-146.9 thousand yuan (RM70,000 to 86,000). The official positioning of Deepal SL03 is "the first sports sedan for young people", while the Deepal L07, which was released a few days ago and is very similar to it, is "a smart car built for young families". In April of this year, CHANGAN Deepal confirmed its entry into Malaysia. Deepal will collaborate with EP Manufacturing Berhad (EPMB) to start the CKD local assembly work in Malaysia, and both Deepal SL03 and S7 are expected to be released.

On the power front, the range-extender version of Deepal SL03 is equipped with a 1.5L Deepal super range extender, the system has two versions with maximum power of 160kW and 175kW, a peak torque of 320N·m, matched with 18.99kWh and 28.39kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries, the pure electric range under the CLTC condition is 140km and 220km, the pure electric range has slightly increased compared to the old model. The pure electric version is equipped with a 190kW motor, a peak torque of 320N·m, equipped with a 56.1kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, with a pure electric range of up to 530km under the CLTC condition, supporting 3C super fast charging: SOC30%~80%<15min, ten minutes of charge adds a hundred kilometers of range.

In terms of design, as a mid-cycle model, Deepal SL03 continues the design language of the current model with an overall stylish and individual style. The front face adopts a closed grille design, equipped with split headlights, and the upper LED daytime running lights are quite sharp, paired with an aggressive front bumper, presenting a rather sporty visual effect. Deepal SL03 has dimensions of 4820/1890/1480mm and a wheelbase of 2900mm.

In terms of interior, the 2025 Deepal SL03 adds a star-shimmering black interior color scheme and is equipped with a 10.2-inch all-LCD dashboard, a 14.6-inch floating central control screen, and a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel. For the rest of the configuration, the new car is equipped with 64-color ambient lights inside the car, 50-watt wireless charging for mobile phones, ventilation and heating for the backrest of the front seats, 14-speaker sound system, rear air conditioning touch screen, etc. Deepal SL03, as the pioneer of the brand, mainly promotes "sports technology".
