Exploring the 2024 Beijing Auto Show: MG EXE181 to Make its Debut

As the 2024 Beijing Auto Show is about to kick off, our front team has captured real car photos of the MG EXE181. This car is created by SAIC's UK Advanced Design Center with collective cross-national creative inspiration. The new car will make its global debut at this Beijing Auto Show and will appear at the Goodwood Speed Festival in July 2024.

EXE181 is a classic product in MG history. In 1959, MG EX181 set the 20th century land speed record of 410.5 km/h. The challenger at the time, Phil Hill, became the first American F1 world champion two years later. This year marks the centennial of the MG brand and the 20th anniversary of the F1 Grand Prix's first landing in China. The move of paying tribute to the "Roaring Raindrop" shows MG's pursuit and exploration of speed in the electric era.

On the exterior, the new car has a very avant-garde, sci-fi-like overall design and presents a futuristic supercar style. And to pursue top speed and a lower drag coefficient, the new car adopts a very streamlined style. It is reported that the drag coefficient of the car is only 0.181Cd, which can be considered the lowest in the world.

In terms of the interior, the new car's cockpit adopts a single driver's seat, and a minimalist design is adopted to pursuit extreme speed.

In terms of power, the EXE181 electric supercar will be equipped with SAIC-GM's tri-electric technology and aerodynamic design, which aims for a top speed of 415km/h for electric cars. The new car has now entered the concept design and engineering verification phase and will join the "1-second club" for 0-100 acceleration in the future.
