It has been conjectured that the vehicle in question may represent Tesla's forthcoming most affordable model, potentially named the Model 2 or Model Q (internally designated Project Redwood).

Concerning the enigmatic Model Q, Elon Musk has previously indicated that it will be a "smaller" iteration of Model Y, distinguishing itself by lacking a hatchback design.
