[PCauto] TQ WULING officially launched the 2025 Wuling Bingo EV in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This locally-assembled compact pure electric hatchback, co-developed by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) and the Tan Chong Group, is available in two versions: PRO and MAX, becoming an entry-level New Energy Vehicle (NEV) in Malaysia.

Building on its strong reputation and extensive experience in Southeast Asia (notably Thailand), the Bingo EV offers Malaysian consumers a high-value proposition for pure electric mobility by combining affordability with practical features. The official price of the Bingo PRO is RM 67,800, while the Bingo MAX is priced at RM 72,800. During the launch period, customers who place their orders can enjoy a cash rebate of RM 5,000, reducing the on-the-road price to as low as RM 62,800 and RM 67,800 respectively.
| Before Discount | During Launch Period (After Discount) | |
|---|---|---|
| PRO Version | RM 67800 | RM 62800 |
| MAX Version | RM 72800 | RM 67800 |
In addition to its affordable pricing, the new car also shines in design and practical space. The Bingo EV features a closed-grille design, coupled with a pair of striking X-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRL) and matching LED headlights. This distinctive lighting design is echoed at the rear, with the taillights reflecting the same style pattern.

In terms of exterior paint, TQ WULING offers three body colors: Milky White, Neon Blue, and Lavender Purple, which better cater to the aesthetic preferences of local young consumers.

In terms of space, the car has a length of 3,950 mm, a width of 1,708 mm, a height of 1,580 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,560 mm. Its compact size allows the Bingo EV to maneuver flexibly in urban traffic and narrow city streets. Moreover, the Bingo EV does not sacrifice practicality, offering an interior with 15 individual small storage compartments. The trunk capacity is twice as large as that of other models in the same class. When the rear seats are folded, the trunk can hold up to 1,240 liters, enabling the car to adapt flexibly to daily commutes, grocery shopping, or weekend trips.

Additionally, one of the highlights inside the car is the "Floating Island" style center console and dashboard layout, which includes two 10.25-inch screens (one for the digital instrument panel and one for the touchscreen infotainment system), supporting CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone connectivity.

In terms of power and range, the Bingo EV takes into account the daily life of Malaysians. The PRO version is equipped with a 31.9kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, delivering a claimed CLTC range of up to 333 km. The MAX version is fitted with a larger 37.9kWh battery, extending the range to 410 kilometers. Both models are powered by a 50 kW front-mounted electric motor producing 150 Nm of torque, paired with a single-speed reduction gear and front-wheel drive, offering smooth and powerful performance.

In terms of charging efficiency, power is provided by SGMW's proprietary Magic Battery system. Through direct current fast charging, the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in about 35 minutes. Using alternating current slow charging to full capacity (0% to 100%), it takes approximately 4.5 hours for the PRO version and about 5.5 hours for the MAX version.

In terms of safety, the Bingo EV's body structure uses 1500 MPa ultra-high-tensile steel in key areas, providing a stable and durable foundation without adding unnecessary weight. This ensures the vehicle maintains safety and efficiency under everyday driving conditions. It is also equipped with advanced braking and stability systems, including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). These features ensure consistent braking performance and stable handling under various road conditions.

Complementing these systems are essential safety features such as the Blind Spot Warning System (Blind Spot Warning System), EntrySafe System, Walkaway Auto-lock/unlock, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Low-Speed Pedestrian System. Together, they enhance daily safety driving awareness, helping drivers stay informed, alert, and confident on the road.
