We have learned from relevant channels that XPeng Motors officially announced its entry into the German market on March 27 local time in Germany, and will start selling its models in May this year. The initial sales models are XPeng G9 and XPeng P7, and the XPeng G6 that appeared at the Bangkok Auto Show did not appear on the sales list in the German market.
The prices of these two models in the German market have been announced, with XPeng G9 launching three sub-models with prices ranging from 57,600 to 69,600 euros, and the XPeng P7 also launching three sub-models with prices ranging from 49,600 to 69,600 euros.
Looking at the models launched, the XPeng G9 includes short and long-range versions, as well as rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. The XPeng P7 has launched a long-range rear-wheel drive model and two all-wheel-drive models, including a Performance model.
XPeng has also announced its sales target for the German market this year, it aims to capture 3% of the local niche market. But what does XPeng mean by niche market? What specific niche market is it referring to? What does a 3% market share mean and how is it calculated? We do not understand this specific information.
But obviously, XPeng Motors is accelerating the export of its products, not only in the European market but also in the Southeast Asian market. At this Bangkok Auto Show, XPeng brought many products including the G6, P7i, and flying car, and the XPeng G6 will likely be the first to be delivered in Thailand, which plans to start deliveries in the third quarter of this year. XPeng, born in the fiercely competitive Chinese market, is still a relatively new and controversial car brand in China. We look forward to its performance on the world stage in the future.
