BYD QIN L DM-i has delivered over 20,000 units in the first month, will accelerate the increase in production capacity

Recently, it is learnt from BYD official that BYD QIN L DM-i sold 20,100 units in June, which is its performance in the first month of its launch. This is not the limit of QIN L DM-i, but the current capacity is still in the climbing stage, which limits its performance. Lu Tian, General Manager of BYD Dynasty Online Sales Division, also posted a message indicating that he would accelerate the increase in production capacity and deliver the new car to users as soon as possible.

It is worth mentioning that in mid-June, the total number of new orders for BYD QIN L DM-i and Seal 06 DM-i exceeded 120,000 units. If we can fully promote capacity climbing this month and improve production efficiency, the delivery volume is expected to break through 30,000 units, or even approach 40,000 units.

In addition, the sales volume of BYD QIN family in June was 68,450 units, an increase of 19.94% month-on-month. Even if some orders were diverted due to the launch of QIN L DM-i, QIN PLUS DM-i and QIN EV models were still able to maintain a strong sales momentum, which forms a pattern of big and small Qin dual cars and realizes the effect of "1+1 greater or equal to 2".

BYD QIN L DM-i was officially launched on May 28, with a total of 5 configurations available and a price range of 98,000-139,800 RMB. The new car is positioned as a mid-size sedan, with a length of 4830mm, a wheelbase of 2790mm, and the power is initially equipped with the fifth generation DM technology. In addition, the official 0-100 acceleration is 7.5 seconds, NEDC power consumption is 2.9L/100km, CLTC pure electric range provides 80km and 120km options, and composite range is 2100km.

It is precisely because of the starting price of 99,800 RMB, combined with extremely low fuel consumption, extremely long range, and a large space, that QIN L DM-i quickly caused a heated response in the market after it was launched, and orders soared. Many netizens have exclaimed: at this price, let alone joint-venture brand fuel vehicles can't stand it, even Chinese brand fuel vehicles and hybrid vehicles are affected. More netizens commented: at this price, BYD does not even let go of its own QIN PLUS and Drive Ship 05, it is estimated that it will rely on low configuration to increase volume in the future.
