The BYD Sealion 7 is an all-electric SUV and the fifth electric vehicle launched by BYD in Malaysia. The car was introduced by BYD's local partner, Sime Darby Beyond Auto, at TRX Exchange. It has been confirmed that the Sealion 7 will be available in two variants for the Malaysian market – the Premium and Performance models. Color options for both variants include Cosmos Black, Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, and Shark Grey.
The pricing is as follows:
BYD Sealion 7 Premium: RM183,800
BYD Sealion 7 Performance: RM199,800

Notably, customers who pre-order the Sealion 7 before November 17, 2024, will receive a free home charger worth RM800 and charging credits.

The dimensions of the BYD Sealion 7 are 4830 mm in length, 1925 mm in width, and 1620 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2930 mm. It is a midsize vehicle designed by Wolfgang Egger, the original designer from Audi, featuring unique design elements such as C-shaped headlights, large air intakes, and full LED taillights.

In terms of performance, the Premium model is equipped with a single rear motor that delivers 308 horsepower, enabling a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 6.7 seconds. The more powerful Performance model features dual rear motors, producing 523 horsepower, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.

Both variants of the BYD Sealion 7 are equipped with an 82.56 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing a range of 567 km for the Premium model and 542 km for the Performance model. The interior features a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 50-inch augmented reality heads-up display, and a Dynaudio sound system with 12 speakers.
