BYD Yangwang U9 officially delivered: 0-100 km/h in 2.36 seconds, top speed of 300 km/h

On August 16, we learned from the official of Yangwang Auto that the first car of its second model, Yangwang U9, officially came off the assembly line and is about to start delivery. The new car was launched on February 25 at a price of 1.68 million RMB. Yangwang U9 is positioned as a pure electric sports car with easy four-way platform technology and Yun-N-X intelligent body control system, accelerates from 0-100km/h in 2.36 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 300km/h.
On the exterior, the design of the Yangwang U9 is aggressive, with strong lines on the front of the car giving it a powerful impact. The unique C-shaped lamp group gives the car a high degree of recognition at night. It is worth mentioning that the Yangwang U9 comes standard with carbon fiber components and electric butterfly doors. The rear of the car has a large-sized fixed carbon fiber spoiler, the underbody of the rear diffuser also equipped with adjustable blades to enhance the aerodynamic performance of the vehicle.
In terms of size, the length, width, and height of the Yangwang U9 are respectively 4966/2029/1295 (1338) mm, with a wheelbase of 2900 mm, and tire sizes are 275/35 R21 and 325/30 R21.
In the interior, the Yangwang U9 features a dual wraparound dashboard, with symmetrical design elements enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The cabin is outfitted with extensive carbon fiber and suede, creating a strong sports car vibe. The vehicle is also equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster and a portrait-oriented 12.3-inch touchscreen, with convenient driving mode control knobs and touch-sensitive controls located just below.
In terms of power, the Yangwang U9 is equipped with a four-motor system, with each motor producing up to 240 kW, resulting in a combined output of a staggering 960 kW (1,306 horsepower) and a peak torque of 1,680 N·m. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.36 seconds, and its top speed reaches 300 km/h. For range, the new car features the latest generation of CTB (Cell-to-Body) battery technology, equipped with an 80 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a CLTC range of 450 km. The battery supports a maximum charging power of 500 kW, allowing the SOC to go from 30% to 80% in just 10 minutes.
On the chassis side, the Yangwang U9 features an independent suspension system, with a double-wishbone setup at the front and a multi-link configuration at the rear. It is also equipped with the Yun-NX intelligent body control system, which represents the pinnacle of BYD's technological advancements. Vehicles equipped with this system can demonstrate advanced features such as "body dancing" and "three-wheel drive".
