On October 30, the GEELY brand new generation super hybrid system: Thor EM-i super hybrid technology officially appeared. Thor EM-i super hybrid is GEELY's brand new generation of ultra-energy-saving super hybrid developed for mainstream users in the market, based on the high-performance hybrid technology system, integrating global power and AI technology.

Thor EM-i super hybrid technology has achieved a comprehensive innovation in the two core components of the engine and the hybrid transmission. The engine part uses a Thor super hybrid-specific engine with a thermal efficiency of up to 46.5%. The official test data shows that the test vehicle equipped with Thor EM-i super hybrid technology, the endurance mileage under extreme conditions can reach 2390.5 kilometers, and the average fuel consumption per hundred kilometers is only 2.62 liters.

In terms of the electric drive system, the Thor EM-i super hybrid technology is the world's first to launch an 11-in-1 hybrid electric drive system. This system integrates functions such as P1+P3 motor, P1+P3 electronic control, SiC stepless boost module, VCU (vehicle control unit), TCU (transmission control unit), PDU (power distribution unit), transmission system, TMS thermal management system, G-TCS active anti-slip system etc. This highly integrated design not only improves space utilization but also optimizes vehicle performance. The efficiency of the motor has reached an impressive 98.02%, and the comprehensive efficiency of the electric drive is as high as 92.5%.

The motor part, Thor EM-i super hybrid technology uses a silicon carbide boost module, through a full-domain multi-voltage optimization technology, to achieve stable boost, while boosting the power of the P3 motor to 160kW. With the Shield hybrid-specific battery, even in the state of full battery or discharge, the driving experience can remain consistent, without any difference.

In addition, the motor adopts advanced X-Pin winding technology, further improving the motor efficiency to 98.02%. In terms of control strategy, the Thor EM-i super hybrid technology intelligently controls the speed and torque matching between the P1 and P3 motors and the engine, achieving smooth power response and effectively solving the difficulty of torque smoothness and response control in traditional hybrid systems. The advent of Thor EM-i super hybrid technology not only represents GEELY's deep accumulation in the field of new energy technology, but also heralds another major breakthrough in the automotive industry's energy-saving technology.
