The Interior of DEEPAL S05 Exposed! A Compact SUV, Price is Estimated at RM76,000!

DEEPAL recently released the interior official images of its new SUV, the DEEPAL S05. The new vehicle adopts the minimalist family design concept and is equipped with a large-sized suspended central control screen. The vehicle is positioned as a compact SUV with a wheelbase of 2880mm. It offers range extender and pure electric options, and is expected to formally enter the Chinese market within the year.

From the released interior diagram, DEEPAL S05 adopts a dynamic orange + black dual color design, and the overall orange is the main tone, and the visual effect is quite advanced. The layout is very minimalist, there is no LCD dashboard, the steering wheel uses a three-spoke flat bottom design, and the use of shift-type shift. In addition, the entire center console area is not equipped with physical buttons, and the functions in the car are basically concentrated on the large screen in the center control, referring to the DEEPAL S07 screen size of 15.6 inches. It is expected to be equipped with Deepal OS intelligent vehicle system with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip.

In terms of configuration, from the official images released this time, we can see that the vehicle is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, rear air-conditioning vents, HUD head-up display, and other configurations.

Reviewing the exterior, the DEEPLA S05 continues the family design style, with a technological, fashionable, and dynamic overall shape. The front face of the new car adopts a closed design, the headlights on both sides of the top are slim, the front surrounded sides are equipped with high and low beam lights and supplemented with triangular panels. In addition, the trapezoidal air intake at the bottom creates a good sense of layering.

From the side, the DEEPAL S05 features a convex double waistline design, with the upper waistline extending from the front wheel eyebrow to the tail light, and the lower waistline rising from the bottom of the front door to the middle and lower part of the rear door, creating a downward posture with a very strong sense of sportiness. At the same time, the new car also adopts hidden door handles, low-drag wheel hubs and other detailed designs, which will bring lower aerodynamic performance, thereby reducing energy consumption.

At the rear, the DEEPAL S05 uses a symmetrical design approach. With a spoiler on the top, high brake lights aligned longitudinally with the logo in the middle, and a through-through taillight and an anti-friction shield below, the entire tail design is simple and layered.

In terms of body size, the DEEPAL S05 measures 4620/1900/1600mm in length, width and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2880mm. The width and wheelbase have reached the size of a medium-sized SUV, it is believed that there will be a big surprise in terms of interior space.　　

In terms of power, the DEEPAL S05 will offer both super-range and pure electric options. According to the declaration information, the pure electric model is equipped with a maximum power of 175 kilowatts motor with a top speed of 180km. And it is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, but the specific endurance performance has not been disclosed yet.

The range extender model is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder range extender, with a maximum power of 72 kilowatts. The motor has a maximum power of 160 kilowatts, and a top speed of 175 km/h. For range, it will offer a lithium iron phosphate battery pack with a capacity of 17.08 kWh and 27.28 kWh, with pure electric range of 100km and 150km under CLTC respectively.

In terms of price, for reference, the current DEEPAL S07 in China is priced between 149,900-212,900 RMB (RM95,000—RM134,000), and the lower-positioned DEEPAL S05 is expected to probe down to 120,000 RMB (RM76,000) to compete with BYD SONG Pro DM-i.
